In our classroom, we keep
track of our behavior with a stop light called "Go for the Green." At the
beginning of each day, every child starts off in green. Our goal
is to stay in green for the whole day. If the child stays in green for the
whole day he/she had an excellent day at school! If a student
decides to make an inappropriate behavior in class, he/she will move their
name to the next color. At the end of the day the students will bring
me their B.E.E. folder and I will color the box from their behavior chart and
circle the classroom rule that the student chose not to follow in class.
Please make sure to look at your child's behavior chart on a daily bases so that
you are aware on how your child is doing at school.

Excellent Day!

of recess time and red note will be sent home.
Several
Disruptions: The child will be sent immediately to office.

As you know, good behavior and
learning go hand in hand. During the first few days of school, our class
creates a list of simple class rules to make our days at school safe and
successful. These rules have been established to ensure your child
experiences a positive and safe learning environment. We 'sing' the
classroom rules every day and your child has a copy of the classroom rules in
their folder.
1.
Listening Bodies - I will listen and follow directions.
2.
Raised Hands - I will raise my hand to share ideas.
3.
Quiet Mouths - I will use a soft voice.
4.
Walking Feet - I will walk in school to be safe.
5.
Helpful Hands - I will use my hands for helping and not hurting.
6.
Caring Hearts - I will use kind words and share.
When students stay in green for the day they
receive a sticker for their behavior chart. When a student completes their
chart they will receive a special prize from our classroom treasure box.
